Gabrielle Birchak is a comedian, political satirist, pundit and writer with over 20 years of experience in a variety of industries that include space flight, real estate, technology, entertainment, and parenting. Yes, she will tell you that parenting is an industry. She is also a "mom." We tried to ask for an adjective, but her children could only confirm that she is, in fact, their mother.

Birchak grew up in Denver, CO. At the age of 10, a local publisher printed her poetry. She then migrated into comedy sketch writing – but that didn’t pan out because when she sent her stuff to Lorne Michaels, she forgot to include a SASE.

While living in Denver, CO, Birchak worked as an actress and jazz vocalist. The work was so good that fame went to her head. She was a big fish in a little pond. You get the idea. So, she took her big head filled with delusions of fame and grandeur and moved to Los Angeles, CA. Birchak continued to write while working in the recording studios. However, A&M Studios had no need for a comedy writer. Go figure.

Birchak then ventured into college where she studied journalism, English, physics, and chemistry. (Don't laugh - no joke.) Even though she tried to bribe her counselor with pole dancing, he still wouldn’t let her Quadruple Major. That, and he said the pole kept chafing him. After college, Birchak worked in media and public relations for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Space Frontier Foundation and several others. As a media relations representative her work appeared in WIRED Magazine, Los Angeles Times, Pasadena Star News, Science Daily, Earth Science World, and many others. There was no pole dancing involved.

During the Bush to Obama years, Birchak spent her time living and working in Washington DC. She was a contributing writer to DC Metro Magazine, a contributing comedian to the DC clubs at large, and a burgeoning political satirist and pundit. In 2008, Birchak won an online "American Idol-like" competition through Project Breakout. Contending against hundreds of pundits in a U.S.- and Canadian-wide competition, Birchak won the position of Field Reporter at the Democratic National Convention.

She currently resides in Los Angeles where she often visits many a karaoke bar. Many have seen her "accidentally" lick the microphone, which has created some strife in certain Facebook communities. At home, she works as the family maid/laundress, which freaks the kids out because they are just not used to seeing her clean. That is why many people often hear her children refer to her as Maria Rosita Consuela Gonzales, for ease of association. For more information, please visit her Web site. Oh, wait, you are here already.
